After Submitting the ad with Latitude I decided my asking price was ambitious. I have also listed on Craigslist and asked $1500 without the motor $2000 with. The primary reason I'm selling is that I want to move to a Santana 22 to do some one-design racing.
Hello and thanks for taking a look at the sailboat i am selling after having owned for a little over 2 years (maybe 3). This is the boat that I have learned the most from thus far. About maintenance, safety and handling a keel boat.
The S21 has an iron swing keel weighing 550lbs. It is raised and lowered with a winch located inside the cabin. The draft with the keel up is about 18 inches and with the keel down about 5 feet.
The first thing I did was to replace and upgrade the rigging. New turnbuckles, toggles and wires. I also fabricated chainplates as the old ones were not adequate in my eye's.
As mentioned in the ad there are 2 main sails, one in fair condition and a relatively new mylar sail in good condition. The 3 jibs consist of a small storm jib, the standard jib and a drifter (or 150%) genoa.
The trailer has new tires, wheels and bearings all replaced in the last 6 months. The rest of the trailer is in good shape.
A gallery showing the interior etc is located here.
