Dance Shoot

I love doing photography for the dancers.  I enjoy their camaraderie with one another and the challenge of catching a motion at its peak.  One of the unfortunate realities of these shoots is that they occur in such a compressed time frame.  We usually shoot after a performance and so it is late at night.  There is little time for experimentation or tweaking lighting to obtain best individual results.Still it is great fun.  from our last shoot, this is on eof the more dramatic images.  I got the normal image (which was beautiful) and then kicked off one of the main fill lights to get a more dramatic modeling of the two dancers at the top of their movement.
